I was also in the 4th grade the first time I heard about the metric system but that was 1966!! Old fart huh!

The metric system is an over-rated waste of money anyhow..

 

Since earlier today when it was 63 degrees it's dropped to about 44 now and raining pretty good. I wouldn't be surprised to see some freezing rain here either if it keeps dropping.

Look at the money you'd have to output to switch over from one system to the other? And for what? There is no gain. Canada should have stayed with it as well to simplify things since the US is out largest trading partner anyhow.

In Canada it still hasn't reached everybody. They use both systems.

 

Very confusing for an European... .

 

Even though I can handle both systems it is sometimes a pita when the costumer says (e.g.): "I need an offset of 20!"

The metric system is awesome because it uses the power of 10. But, alas in BC at my work we use inches. We get a huge mobile stacker reclaimer that comes in all metric and everytime bolts are burned off we put SAE back in. Well I don't, and that pisses the old guys off. Anyways lots of industrial areas are like this. You don't see metric drill sets lol.

 

I troll my worksite using metric bolts lol, then secretly laugh when I hear "ahh its f'n metric!"

no matter how Long I stare at it, I'm STILL not a Fan of the 2011-2013 Silverado Silver Lower Valence or the Chromed Bumper Caps, they stick out like a Sore Thumb on every Color EXCEPT Silver.

 

 

 

I like it better than the body colored end caps and chrome middle. I agree on the lower valence though I wish it was black. Doesn't really matter anyhow because I plan on doing the HD front end conversion, and a little bit of lift after it's paid off.
