Built where?

How do you figure out where your truck was built if it has no sticker in the door? Mine has a sticker from Michigan (although my dealer told me it was being builit in Texas??) but my dad's new 1500 has no stickers. . .

They are not built in Texas

 

1500's are

 

Mexico/Michigan/Indiana

 

2500s I believe are

 

Michigan and indiana

Ah, ok, I figured out it's the 11th digit so that makes mine a match with Flint, Michigan. Checking dad's 1500 .. . .ah, crap. that makes his made in Mexico . . .except--it doesn't say they make Sierras??

My 09 Silverado was built at the Oshawa, ON plant but that was the last year it was open.

Tahoes and Suburbans are built in Fort Worth Texas. Not sure if all of them are but the assembly plant there is for them. No trucks.

GM says it the large suv's are built in Arlington, TX

 

1500 crew cab are built in Silao Mexico (down near Mexico City), some are also built in Michigan but its roughly 10%. 2500 reg and extendeds are built in Ft Wayne, 2500, 3500 crews in Flint Michigan. No trucks built in Oshawa anymore, now they build the Camaro.
