i do have the six speed in my new truck. ok so heres a real question, will the 14" magnaflow have less drone then the 40 series FM, if yes i will buy that 1. if it has the same drone i will go with the 18 magna. hows that lol i need answers

Well the 40 I had on my truck was bad. I don't think anything could be worse and almost everything will be better. I went to a longer straight through muffler

I went with a full cat-back from MBRP. It sounds amazing and looks great. Quiet until I tell it to be loud. The 6.0 makes a beautiful noise with it

Ok now I think it's between the FM 50 delta flow 3 chamber vs the MFlow 14"

 

I've been reading a lot last couple days and MFlow are considerably quiter then FM so this is why I went to the 14" and then I read that the 50 delta flow from FM is a big step down in drone compared to the 40. So here is the decision I'm facing.

 

Take into consideration that MFlow is all stainless and FM is not. Common guys make a decision for me.

Gunna go with the 14" magna. Reason being I don't like the drone of my FM, I always like trying new things AND its full stainless steel. More pros then cons. Hope it's not too quiet though lol thanks to everyone for your input.

Let us know how you like it! Very happy with mine, and it's gotten a little throatier when accelerating over time.

One more question. What's better clamped or welded ?? And reasons why ?

A good weld will last as long as the exhaust does, won't leak, and will be faster for a good shop to put on than a clamp. I think I paid $20 to have mine welded on. I'm a good welder myself, but the shop I took it to put a mirror over the top and checked for leaks with it running to be sure, did a really good job.

I didn't have drone, but the one thing I will recommend is shut the AFM off, the noise from the 4 cyl is enough to make you jump out of the truck, plus mine shook like a meth head tweaking out. My wife has a 5"x8" 3"in dual 2.5" out, and it is quieter than my truck was. She has an 05' Tahoe with the 5.3L. Also the older these mufflers get the louder they are. I had the 14419 Magnaflow on my truck.
