Air bag suspension?

Recommended Posts

So I bought a used 2004 ext cab Z71 Silverado this weekend and the truck came with rear air bag suspension installed. The fill valves are mounted to the rear bumper. I have no experience with these systems any info would be appreciated. They are (contitech 2 ply fd 70-15) bags.

Thanks, I suppose I was looking for info passed the obvious, I should have stated that. I guess I was looking for maintenance and guide lines for air ride suspensions. I Googled the brand and model and came up with very little information about them.

When unloaded run 5-10 psi in them. Then level truck when hauling. What brand are they?

They are contitech.

I had Firestone Ride Rite on a dually. Their manual said to keep them filled at 5-10 psi when empty as mentioned above.

It was rarely empty, so always left them up around 60 psi. Some have a gauge plumbed into the cab or

a onboard pump to keep them at a specific level.

There was no maintenance with the Firestones other than keeping them inflated.
