275/70/r18 BFG A/T or Mastercraft AXT

Looking to move to bigger tires with the 2" RC level... thinking about 275/70/r18 BFG A/T or Mastercraft AXT as opposed to the 285's for a tad bit of taller tires. MPG's i figure will be about the same between the 275/70 and 285/65...

Was thinking about 275/70/r18 BFG A/T or Mastercraft AXT.

Opinions/advice?

Why not? 265 to 275 is such a small difference.. even 285's are not much bigger then 265's

A 275/70/18 is much taller than a 265/65/18. Although the 275's are only 10mm wider than stock, they're slightly over 33" tall. And to the OP.....between those two choices....I'd pick the BFG's hands down.

To KMG.. 285/65's are wider but the 275/70's are taller. I care more about them being a little taller than a little wider

The 285 is a mere half inch wider. Have had both. The 275 is taller and lighter. Did I mention alit cheaper...

 

By the way, Ryan and I are talking about the 275/70's.

Slightly off topic....does anyone know why 275/70's are much cheaper than 285/65's....when the size is very similar (within .5" each way)????

Last time I checked, the 275's were around $220 each, and the 285's were around $300 each. $200-$250 cheaper for a set of four seems like a big difference to me, when the sizes are very similar.
