which bulbs have you guys been using?

Id like to change my headlights and foglights to a white bulb like the silverstars or equivalent. But i want to make sure the foglights give off the same color as the headlights because some bulbs have a bit of a blue tint as well. I am not going to a hid conversion i just want to change the bulbs. Which ones have you guys been using for high/ low/ foglights?

Put silverstar ultra's in my new headlights, haven't changed fogs yet. Ultra's are bright, just don't know how long they'll last.

no luck for me with the regular Silver Stars lasting , most sets i have put in last way less than 1 year . If you read the package its like rated for 175 hours

The bright we they are the shorter the life

I haven't found any bulbs yet for the fogs. Putco makes some, but I'm not sure if they match the Silverstars if you put them in the low beams...

The nicest ones I have had were made by Heliolight....... some knock off chinese outfit. I just bought the standard halogen bulbs as I don't want the bluey white HID color stuff. 80 watt 9006's and 100 watt 9005's. Adjusted correctly I have never been flashed once and they are a marked improvement over the oem 65/55 combo. That said the life of them was terrible at maybe 6 months for the lows...... However. Unlike a Silverstar that maybe lasts a year the Helio's were only $8 a bulb lol.

I just need to find a supplier as the Helio's are no longer available through the outfit I was getting them from anymore.

The stock style bulbs are the best IMO... No way I'm paying $40 for a set of bulbs that probably won't last a year. My brights are really good already.

Agreed. My factory headlights are really bright.

I've had silverstar ultras for 2 years now and love em. The silverstar xfe or w/e they are called are in my grand am and I'm not very impressed by them

I agree too that the stock lights are great, i just thought it would look good with matching white light instead of the yellowish glow. I cant believe there is only a couple options for the fog lights on these trucks and this style has been out for 7 years lol

I am going to try the Phillips H1R1 9011/9012's in my truck next. Supposed to be better than most cheapie higher wattage units, draw the same current as the stockers and of course no blue white crap.

Well actually I found this pic from when I first bought them so I guess they do when they are brand new
