Canuck Intro

Hello,

I'm from just north/west of Ottawa, ON, Canada and recently picked up a '13 Silverado 1/2 ton LT crew. I've had several GM trucks over the years ranging from a '72 C10 to an '03 6.0L 2500. After a lot of shopping around I was able to find the truck I wanted on a lot fairly local. Only thing it's missing is the tow mirrors, but I can live with that.

The following were "musts"

- 5.3/6-speed

- HD cooling/tow

- OEM Trailer brake controller

- Sunroof

- Buckets

This is what I ended up with (which met the above criteria)

My old lady is expecting (our first), so I recently sold my Z06 (pictured below) and my 'ol Pathfinder (which I loved) and picked up the Silverado for her to drive, and for me to use to recreationally.

I'm an avid snowmobiler and enjoy ATV'ing... It'll be nice to be back into a pick-up for the utility of the box, not to mention I'm sure it'll tow the trailers nicely. I don't expect to be too active in the technical section as the truck is new. But it's nice to be in the loop with the community.

My father and I are also into 1st generation Corvette's. I drive a venetian red '56 and him a cascade blue '57 (visible in the background of the pic below). Both were frame-off nut-and-bolt resto's performed at home.
