Where is the fuel pump? Also, I found today that this only happens when the truck is in gear. When the truck is idling in park the voltage and rpms are normal.

Problem solved. I took the throttle body off and cleaned it. I also cleaned the idle air control and the truck is running normal again.

I would not install that JET MAF, install an OEM MAF. Sent from a jelly bean.

 

 

Why not? I have an air raid air tube and k and n air filter.

Why not what? The tube is good bang for the buck, over oiling the filter could cause some problems with the truck

I quoted the wrong user. Why not buy and install the jet mass air flow sensor?

 

I picked up a brand new one for $175.

Because your "JET" brand is no better than what came installed on your truck. Plus it cost more....... just for starters

That's the main proof I need. Plus I read several articles on MAF testing. Why don't you waste your money on a throttle body spacer while you're at it. Another worthless piece of crap designed to separate you from your money.

Well I needed a new maf and I bought the jet maf.

That K&N is the cause of all that trouble. I think they're easy to over-oil. With the paper elements lasting so long now I don't know why people still use the K&N stuff. Not to mention the fact that they don't filter out particulate matter as small as OEM>

The aftermarket MAFs generally cause the engine to run lean. Merely a gimmick to make you think you are getting more performance. We have seen some pretty shocking data from them and typically tell our customers to take them off or have to tune them out.

 

The OEM MAFs are good for 550+ HP, more folks will never see that number on their engine.
