Portable Air Compressor

Recommended Posts

Been looking at the VIAIR line to get a portable air compressor. Plan on using it when I go to the Outer Banks for some off roading and need to drop the tires down to 20 PSI and then bumping them back up after we get off the beach road. I got a 2500HD crew cab, so length of power cables is an issue. I see some that use a cigarette lighter, others use the battery terminals, what do you use?

If you want one that will air up in a reasonable amount of time, its going to hook to the battery.

I actually have a 12VDC Puma that looks like a small builder's compressor...it served me well for a long time. I installed a set of Anderson quick connects to get power to it at either end of the truck.
