89 4.3 wont start

Brand new ignition coil, cap and rotor, rebuilt throttle body, 2 new injectors

Ran ok before cap and rotor, replaced it and now won't fire even after new coil. Please help

Start with the basics.

Do you have power & ground to the coil?

Check all your connections.

Is the cap fully seated on the distributor?

Is the rotor contact inside the cap missing?

 

Remove all wires from cap. Check for continuity between center post and each cylinder while rotating the engine by hand. (as the rotor passes each post you should get a beep from your DMM)

All connections are good and tight, popped off cap and looks like its getting contact to rotor. I notice when I try to start I hear a clicking sound but its not constant, oil pump maybe?

That clicking could be the plugs firing. My crystal ball is broken though.

Oil pumps don't click.

Swaped out the ignition control module, nothing changed. I am behond stomped at this point.

Coil is grounded good and cap is seated, about to check for spark
