What is the biggest size tire I can fit on my 2500HD with the Torsions cranked and on the stock 16" rims, with out having to do any modification due to rubbing?

moving to the tire thread

These are a few options 285/75/16 or 255/85/16.

I wouldn't crank the torsions all the way. It gives a crap ride, trust me, Ive done it. Truck bounces a lot too. Level kits are also the same on the front end, it destroys them, a lot faster than an actual "lift".

But like Ryan said, 285/75R16. That's what I had on my truck (1500) with a level. And I even had -22mm offset wheels, which is a lot. So clearance shouldn't be an issue on a 2500HD. Might even fit without cranking the keys

With a levelling kit, 2" blocks in the back you can run 35's with a little bit of trimming and some back spacing for rims. Without levelling kit I probly wouldn't go more than 33's with diff rims. On stock rims I probly wouldn't run more than 285/75 on a 16" rim..putting wider tires on stock rims is subjective. On my 1500hd with levelling kit and 1" blocks I ran 33x13.5's...

But a 285/75r16 would work fine on the stock rims and with no modification, right?

I had the same size tire on my mickey thompson wheels which were 8" wide. I think stock is 6.5" wide, and on my 8", the tires bulged quite a bit from the rims. On stock wheels, that's pushing it

They'll fit with hardly any torsion bar adjustment. Have them on my work truck. Same truck as yours.

Well I already have my torsional cranked so I should be fine then I think

On the stock rim (16) what size is the biggest I can get with the tire properly fitted, meaning no bulging?
