Ground Strap 2000 K2500 Suburban

Hello, I have a 2000 Suburban K2500 LT that I bought 2 weeks ago. Since I have owned it it has had a ground strap hanging down off the frame near the rear bumper on the drivers side. I have searched and I can not find where this is supposed to be attached. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Dano

You sure you triple-double checked everywhere? I don't see why you shouldn't be able to take the strap and pull it towards random places to see where it might or does go

Exactly what I thought. I can't see anywhere it could bolt to, at this length anyway. I am wondering if there was more to it? Or maybe I just don't see where it goes.

If it is attached to the frame, and is a braided type wire, my guess would be it goes to the bumper itself. Some body parts are isolated from the frame and have ground straps attached between the part and the frame. Bumpers that have shocks between the bumper and frame would be a candidate for a ground strap.

Thanks. It is possible it goes to the bumper. I will have to extend it and put a new bolt in.
