6.2L exhaust question

I have just installed duels on my 2012 Silverado, I love the sound, not sure if it has increased performance a whole lot but has seemed to help increase Gas mileage some (if I keep my foot out of it). I had the 3rd cat removed along with the resonator and had 2.5" pipes ran to (2) seperate Magnaflows (16") then out to back behind rear tires on each side, also had an X-Pipe installed to smooth out the whole deal, sounds excellant and roars when you get on it. No codes or odd problems and sound is a bit louder but minus the poping sound I had before with just a Magnaflow installed on OEM 3.5" exhaust.

Is that x-pipe after the mufflers?

Thanks for the response guys. One thing I forgot to mention is that when it's booming in the cab, I can feel the floor vibrating through my feet. Is that normal with headers? Or would changing the exhaust make the header/cat vibration disappear?

If they aren't ceramic coated it may be the headers. I would try a 22" Magnaflow before I tried swapping out everything though.

OK, from that one pic I thought it was after the mufflers, I think it is supposed to cross with in 2' of the cats if memory serves me right for the best scavenging.

DRONE PROBLEM SOLVED!! My truck has long tubes, high flow cats and a Magnaflow cat-back. Previously I had a Flowmaster muffler with dual exits and the same booming drone between 1500-2000 rpm, sounds like you're driving in a 55 gallon drum. I tried two different resonators but neither worked; basically they are just straight through mufflers with a perforated inner wall, similar to the Magnaflow 22" muffler that came with the cat-back system. I tried a 6" long Magnaflow and a 12" long Vibrant resonator, installed feeding into the muffler per Vibrant's advice. No improvement. Next I tried a Dynatech vortex cone; this is a perforated cone with 3 tabs that you can bend out a little to hold it inside your pipes. I tried it at the junction of the cat Y pipe with the cat-back; at the muffler exit; and just before the tailpipe. No sound reduction for the $80 it cost, and it also made a little whistling noise. Finally the answer: A Dynatech auger muffler insert for $25 including shipping from Summit. It's basically a 1" pipe with a set of three 3.5" discs welded to it, and the discs all have a split and a bend in them to allow air to pass through, it's about 11" long. Put it into the flex pipe which is behind the flange that the cat pipe and cat-back meet, with no improvement. Then I shoved it into the exit of the Magnaflow muffler and it worked like a charm!! Too well actually, it was too quiet and it seemed to overheat the exhaust. So I just cut the 1" pipe off to remove one of the discs. Now it's tuned exactly as loud as I want it, with no drone in the cabin. Too bad I didn't know this before all the trial and error (and expense) of the other stuff. Good luck guys!

Attached are better pictures of how this true duel exhaust runs on mine. FYI
