DO YOU HAVE THE PART NUMBERS? I want to get a set for mine, just want to make sure the power works. What truck do you have? Mine is a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500...WHAT ARE THE LONGVIEW?

Part numbers are in this thread, you posted them earlier. Mines a 2014 gmc sierra 1500. U just have to drill one hole to get em to mount up right.

Just picked up a set of the Longview slip on towing mirrors from AutoAnything.com:

$72 free ship w/ code right now.

Quick review. First, yes they do in fact have the stupid flaming flamingo looking thing on the front. I see absolutely no reason for it to even be there whatsoever unless, of course, you just don't have enough stuff to catch bugs with as it is. That said, it's not the worst thing I've ever seen. At least it's all black. They could have inlaid it in red I guess.

Next, it does have a single foam pad near the strap for cushion. The instructions imply that some models come with extra padding to be strategically placed, ours do not (they are not listed as having extra foam, and mine didn't). I wouldn't say that they NEED the foam, but out of an abundance of caution to prevent any rubs, I did grab some at the hardware store and placed a few tiny pieces around. I mostly did this for peace of mind on the rubbing, but it had the added benefit of stabilizing them even more.

The fit is fantastic, looks great (minus the flaming flamingo), and super super easy to install. If I ran around the truck, could probably install in 20 seconds on a good day. So easy that I would probably yank them off and pitch them in the bed of the truck at the drop of a hat if I dropped the trailer for a few hours or something. My previous mirrors, yeah not so much.

Without the foam, I'd say that they are BY FAR the most stable slip on mirrors I've ever had. Quite pleased with them. Now, slip ons will never really be as stable and wiggle free as OEM tow mirrors, but you have to sacrifice something here. But these are excellent, barely noticeable on the wiggle and nothing I would ever complain about in the least. After adding the foam, just got that much better. I think it reduced the up/down movement on the outer edge of the mirror area. I won't say that they don't wiggle at all going down the road, but you have to REALLY be trying to find it to notice it.

Yes, they fold up with the factory mirrors just fine, no worries there. And they give a decent view of the road. Again, not OEM style, but they aren't the size of a small lost dog flyer, easily removeable, doesn't modify or harm the original truck in any way, and hey, $72 is hard to beat!

BMan approved!

Thanks for the review. But interweb rules state: PICS!!! (on your truck)

Very true. I honestly felt a bit bad about that, knowing full well pics are in order. I had just returned from a 700mi trip to Chicago, so the truck was NASTY, and my OCD didn't allow pics. Plan to wash today, will fulfill my internetz duties.

Did you have them on for the trip?

I have the 2014+ OEM tow mirrors for $600/set shipped if anyone is interested.

If you could post some pics of these mirrors that would be great. Also, are they heated, turn signal, power mirror, and power fold? If so I want a set as soon as we can get them sent.

Actually, no. Sorry, wasn't clear on that. I have, however, logged 200 mi since with them and I'm tickled to death. Again, they are NOT OEM tow mirror quality, but HUUUGE bang for the buck.

As it seems like it's never going to stop raining, I'll go ahead and post these. Forgive the mess.

Your definition of dirty and mine are way off...[emoji1] and for the price, can't go wrong. Glad to hear they work great. Function vs looks aside. Great buy if they work.

Those are ugly. I know it's not nice to say, but it's the truth (IMO).

And this looks good??? Looks like somebody sliced R2D2 in half and bolted his feet to the door!

I like those look better, IMO. But I have a 2015 2500 with tow mirrors. I will upgrade to those if I can get them retrofitted.

I think it does.

I'm not going to say yours are ugly like the other comment because they are for function and I doubt your driving around town with them.

If were gunna be throwing rude movie based comments, it looks like someone went and threw the hunger games on your slip on mirrors! :P

Power fold is NOT available at this time. The price should be double if not triple the cost of regular own mirrors.

These are the same mirrors you see on the HD trucks for 2015.

Well, TECHNICALLY I am since I'm headed out on a long trip fri and I don't want to chunk one going down the road. So I thought I'd get a week of testing in. But, yes, this is definitely function over form and no, not for city cruising. In fact anything that sticks out this far sucks in downtown traffic.
