Running Boards ......

Looks like I will need to get them ... I want the 5in or 6in flat bar type... found these http://www.autoanything.com/nerf-bars/77A7544A3858506.aspx

but heard some bad reviews of raptor ..

Any idea's of what to get? Does anyone have any pic of Non OEM running boards / nerf bars installed on their 2014?

You might try ebay. or shopchevyparts.com They sell OEM but have several choices and are some what cheaper than the dealer. I picked up a under seat storage container and saved money on it.

Amp powered running boards. Pricey bit the best put there.

Yep.. amp is the first choice... but having some dumb as$ install them is what worries me. You have to take off the door panels, so some drilling and wiring, etc..

Yes, you do want a good place installing them and I could do it but I hear it's a bit of a pain.

Looking on kbb.com I see they have an as yet not priced dealer installed option for retractable side steps:

The amps aren't that hard to install. I did mine after work one night

Amps are installed and the look and work awesome. My wife and our Goldens are loving them.

They match great with the black trim on the wheel wells also. Now after these I would never install a stationary running board.

Very wide flat step vs the curved or ridged you see on just about every other one. Love the LED lights that shine down when deployed.

One more thing. Takes the guys that do this all the time about half a day and on the 2014 the have to remove all 4 door panels. Worth the money for installation.
