Im looking to buy a super chip for my 2012 Gmc Sierra 1500,

 

Anyone have opinions on this?

A custom tune will always give you the best bang for your buck. The only real good thing about the handheld is you can take it back to stock if you need too.

Black Bear Performance is the way to go, but I was pleased with the difference that my superchips programmer made with my'07 VMax.

The first thing you must ask yourself is "Is the chip in the computer "plug and pray", or is it "soldered in"?

 

The best thing to do (JMHO) is to get the vehicle on a dyno, and get a reputable tuner to make changes to your existing tune, as per what YOUR vehicles performance is on that dyno.
