Tuning out rear o2 sensors

If I have the rear sensors tuned out would it affect the emissions status indicators? I know the rears only judge if the catalyst is working.

I wouldn't think so. Heated O2 in the readiness monitors would become N/A I think so unless the operator has eagle eyes or the machine itself knows what you're supposed to have you should be ok.

Catalyst right now says incomplete. It takes forever to make it complete and I need to test soon

I would think the testing machine, if its hooked into the obd port, would still look for signals. If you have them tuned out, I would assume the machine would know otherwise and then you will still fail. But I could be wrong. I don't have emission testing and have my rears tuned out.

It doesnt look for signals, they use a snap on shop tool to look for CEL's and to make sure the indictors are complete. I almost always have 2 incomplete

It shouldn't say incomplete if its tuned out. It can say ready, not ready or N/A or similar words.

Yeah so when tuned out it should read not available.

The rear O2 codes need to be tuned to "not report" in order for the test to complete correctly I belive.

Not sure if I quite understand how it works

Is your engine coolant temp reading low? A friends Saturn had the same monitors in the ''incomplete'' state, took a while to figure it out.The engine coolant temp was 140,not letting the engine(as the PCM sees it)warming up to operating temp therefore throwing off how much fuel is delivered to it.He replaced the thermostat & the ECT sensor(which was cracked),took it for a drive and now the temp was about 190,good  The next day he took it for another drive to get something down the street, came home and parked it.The following day I hooked up my laptop, opened OBD Auto Doctor and checked the monitors.....ALL were complete,he immediately went to the Smog Station and it passed.

The smog guy said he was allowed to have two monitors not ready for it to pass smog,he had three,so he needed to get one more to complete, but we got 'em all to complete

Keep in mind we're just a little south of Bako.

Chris,I see you're using Torque, like It? I just installed it on my Galaxy S3 and have used it only once.
