are they really that much more expensive or is there more markup?

I think too many people want to draw water from a stone. I mean, you wanna buy a fully loaded brand new model year truck you're gonna F'n pay for it! I know I did. If you wanna whine about the sticker price go buy a heavily discounted Dodge and have it fall to pieces in a few years. I mean seriously I don't think $50,000 is too much to ask considering what you get.

50 grand for some pos that is instantly worth 10k less the day you drive it off the lot..... and in 5 years with low miles is worth like 15 grand.... sounds like a huge waste of money to me. But I must be broke cause I say that right.... lol.

To each their own and its better than throwing it away on hookers and blow....

Don't dismiss hookers and blow that fast... 14k to get a nice 800 series, another 10k to get it where you want it, and 26k left over to do what you wish, buy a second 800 or hookers and blow

Or like me.... own 3 of the stupid things, one with a turbo and forged 6 liter.... and I just got a heads cam 6 liter with an mp112 blower on it for the 03... and I am maybe 50k invested total lol.

I just needed a new truck as I'm going back to school again and wanted something more reliable than a 417whp cobalt ss haha. I like the new single cab shortbox GMs so I bought one it's that simple. Flame me all you want but last time I checked it was my bank account that paid for the truck not yours. If you can wait for the better prices to come than all the power to ya. I needed something now and wanted to drive the brand I was born and raised on.

Pics of heated seat option of window sticker or buttons on dash?

Good eye on that one, I just looked at the bill and realized it doesn't have heated seats but we were talking about having them installed after. Anyways my bad sorry if I got your hopes up. You can still have it but you will have to have the dealer install them after.

That's alright. Are you getting factory or aftermarket heated seats installed?

Here's how truly wrong you are. My friend traded his 2007 SIlverado LTZ (which was mine and I sold to him) w/ 82,000 miles on it on a new 2014 sierra SLT. Guess what? He got $18,500 for it and they sold it for $19,100 - FACT. In fact, he knows exactly what they sold it for because the buyer called him (after permission from the dealer) to inquire about some of the custom stereo add-on's he had. So suffice it to say, full size pickups hold their values better than pretty much anything else on the road.

And I can one up that statement even further, cuz guess what? You're quoting the guy who DID buy a 2014 SLT, put 5,200 miles on it, then traded it back in on a different model - an all terrain w/ 3.42's. The AT stickered for $3,500 more than the one I traded and w/ my $1,700 in GM card points, $1000 trade allowance, and $750 coupons I paid out of pocket $4,800 including minor tax and $300 in mudguards. So - pretty sure they don't lose $10,000 off the bat guy. In fact, on the bill of sale I got $41,000 on trade for a truck that stickered for around $45,000

I smell smoke, something must be roasted.

Hey I appreciate you're the type of dude who can't help but mod every single piece of his vehicle, I know all about that - I had some pretty nicely modded cars in the past including the G8 I traded in to get the truck. You say "oh well I can buy a used truck for $18,000 and put $10,000 of mods in it and now I have a lifted truck that is faster than a 2014 stock one that stickers for $50,000 blah blah blah" - yeah that's all fine and good, except some people want to keep a warranty, some people want an unmolested vehicle that has only been driven by ONE PERSON - them, over the course of its life and want to keep it for a long time. As far as losing value goes - I'm sure you'll agree modding the crap out of a vehicle is just about the worst thing you can do in that regard.

And lastly - if you can afford it you would buy all new anyhow, whether you'd admit it or not. Majority of people don't buy used furniture right? Its an expense, not as high as a new vehicle, but used furniture has the sweat, swass, and spills and stains of the slob who used it before you, its all beat up and worn right?

Well I probably spend more time in my truck than I do on my truck and if I'm spending 10's of thousands on a vehicle I'm going to buy one that hasn't had the steering wheel gripped for 40,000 miles by some schlep or had the seat farted on for the same amount of time to.

Take a minute to think on that one.

Fact.... Americans as a whole overpay grossly for used vehicles.

Fact. I put on more miles than you in a year.

Fact. Modding is a terrible thing if you like to sell as mods are worthless.

Fact. I don't give a damn about warranty and personally have experienced that GMs is a joke.

Fact. I have no phobia about someone else driving something easily cleaned which is exactly what I do... Otherwise movie theatres, buses, planes, restaurants ,hotels and so on would be one heck of a problem.

Fact. My 05 makes more profit in one year to buy a $50000 truck every single year. My definition of affording a liability like a vehicle is a cash sale... and yes I can "afford" a new one by my definition......so why do I drive used?

Because I have better uses for $50000 than on a depreciating liability. Roasted....Yeah... your take on money and your bank account are the only things burning... its no skin off my ass. You are fighting with the wrong guy about buying and selling bud. But good on you and honestly enjoy your truck.

Fact. I won't whore this post anymore with this and if you want to continue pm me. Mods will delete it all anyway.

The sticker on my 2009 Sierra reg cab was $41850.00 in Canada

Heck, my 2010 Silverado Regular Cab had an MSRP of 43K in Alberta.
