Well thanks Chuckie for sending me in the right direction. I agree it has been answered MANY times but there has been no resolution as to how to improve the heating of the seats on remote start so I will continue bringing it up as I see threads that mention the problem. At some point GM will take notice and send out a bulletin to reprogram the seat control module if enough people complain. And maybe some dealer has already figured it out and done the fix but we do not know about it? Let the information flow freely my friend.

Hey Jonathan thanks but let me do a bit more experimenting before we pull the trigger on a full blown complaint. After doing some initial experimentation I believe that the cooled feature of the seats is what is causing the problem. The heated seats (I believe) are actually coming on with remote start and are on the high setting BUT due to the seat design and the perforated surface they WILL NOT heat up like the heated only seats in my 2009 Sierra. My next experiment will be to put a bath towel over the seat and try the remote start to see if it heats up the surface like I like it. That would be simple enough if it works. I will try to remember to come on here and let you guys know if it does. Going to be around 9f in here the morning.
