Dual Zone - HVAC Reset?

2011 Silverado All-Star package - Dual Zone digital heat controls - extended cab. 84,000m on the clock.

Is there such a thing as reseting the HVAC brain or cleaning the sensors? Manual is not clear if its smart or learns your HVAC needs or the sensor need cleaned / serviced. Because it seems the temps are way off on mine.

I have had the HVAC off for a month (power button on the HVAC controls) or so enjoying the mild temps with the windows down. Now that I have turned it back on it for the colder weather all the functions seem to work, auto, manual, vent changes, defrost etc. all work as they should and in manual mode it blows air out the correct vents so I don't think any of the doors are stuck like some folks have in other threads. But the temps seem to be way off.

Example, 52 degrees outside, cab is about same temp as outside, set for Auto, 72 degrees and it will turn the AC (snow flake) on and blow cold air. 20 minutes later of driving, engines at full temp and its still blowing cold air, its about 60 in the cab, but fan speed is very low like it has reached temp.

Punch the temp up to 85 and it starts blowing warm air finally, but seems to turns the fan down at 80 like that it reached cab temp?

Just the reverse with hot days, we had a few freaky warm days this week and HVAC still set at 72, truck cab probably 80 or 90 due to the sun warming it and it will blow hot air when you start the truck unless you set the temp down to 65 then it switches to AC and start blowing cold.

Manual mode seems to do the same thing... you want it 72 in the cab when its cold out set it for 85, if its hot out set it for 65.

Its like the temp sensor / delta is off 15 to 20 degrees because if I go to one extreme or the other it will do what it supposed to but if I leave it at a comfortable temp it does the something strange.

The HVAC control where re-programmed in April 2011 for the fogged window TSB, which fixed that. I had the dealer look at the HVAC last week and they said everything was OK and the software is up to date, no codes no warning lights on the dash. But I don't think the reset anything, because they didn't find anything wrong. Truck is out of warrant so its $80 pop to have them to look at it and when I told them its still doing it they want me to drop it off again (I doubt for free).

Any ideas I could try first before?

Pulling a fuse for 10 minutes ( which one?), blowing can air in the sensors to clean them (I drive a lot dusty gravel roads) ?

Thanks,
