Diablo tune anyone?

How does it feel compared to stock.. Can it firm the laggy 1-2 shift? And i know it turns off afm mode

I have had it on my truck for a while now and love it. It shaved a good .5 -.8 sec off my zero to sixty, the transmission shifts like it should, I don't have the ohh so annoying AFM on anymore, and my fuel economy has gone up 1mpg. The only problem with it right now is when you disable AFM, you get a MIL light which comes out to P16F3 which is just a memory code that doesn't affect anything. Mike at Diablo is working with me right now to fix it so I'm not worried.

Can you tune multiple vehicles with one Diablo tuner?

With my experience (Diablo predator) the answer was no, it was locked to your Vin. That being said if you returned the vehicle to stock, the predator was no longer married to your vin and could be used on another supported vehicle. I have no experience with the newer interfaces, but I would say they are the same.

With diablo tuners, it takes the stock tune and loads it onto the unit, and then replaces the stock tune on the truck with the diablo tune. Then that tuner unit is tied to the vehicle until you reload the stock tune back into the truck. Then the diablo tuner becomes available to do a different vehicle.

OK so just like hypertech. Why wouldn't any one just but hp tuners and tune it them self or get a tune emailed to them. You then could change anything you want any time and tune multiple vehicles. I know you would need a laptop but most people have them.

I thought HP tuners needed a license purchased for each vehicle that was tuned?

The way I understand it it takes 2 credits per vehicile but comes with 8 credits. Then its $50 per credit .

 

If I end up needing to tune my truck I will just spend the $500 and be able to change anything in my gm cars and truck.
