So OJ what's your son think of the new wheels?

One son hasn't seen them yet. The other son's words were, "bad ass!"

What is z73 package?

It's not a GM package. It's my personal development. I liked the "Z71" decal and I have this Earnhardt theme with my truck, as well as the previous two Silverados, so the "Z73" designates seven championships by #3. It may seem corny to some of you, but it works for me. I'm glad you noticed it. Most people just see Z71 and never see the 3.

Oh ok, I'm with ya. Thought it was some dealer added package with extra touch maybe.

I have ot add this. I love my dealership. I would order another vehicle tomorrow from them. The two most accommodating folks there were the guy who orders all the vehicles for the dealership...he kept me fully informed the entire time and the other guy was the sales manager. Those two guys made the whole experience work for me.

Thanks for the comments guys. Yes, It was an interesting experience, receiving the truck without my wheels, however, I have to give it to my dealership, they sure worked with me to get me my truck, even though they had to loan me new wheels out of the parts department to do it. I definitely appreciate everyone's comments and interest in the situation...I guess it even made some sort of an adventure out of the process.

Nice truck man. Well you think you wrote a novel lol. I have been searching for a Denali pickup for probably over 2 yrs now. I was going to get a 12 or 13 and was trying to find the deal that I was happy with and talked to numerous dealerships all over the country. I even had alert notifications that emailed me from various places on the net when they got something that fit my wants. I started out wanting a black, then changed to a white. One nite I was cruising in charleston, sc and stopped by the GMC/cadillac place and I was in awee of how awesome that white diamond looked on a 2013 Escalade with the 22's. I fell in love with that color and ever since early 2013 i wanted that color, or might have been sometime in 12 when i decided on the white diamond. Well when i saw the Denali 14 designs on the net, something told me to wait till it hits the lot and go look at it before I regret not waiting and buying one of those. I was prepared save a little more and wait.

I was upset it took so long and that the Denali's didnt hit the lot the same time as the SLE and T's. They didnt even have the brochure out at the same time lol. Anyway after seeing some SLT's with other colors, I must admit I love the black still and especially your color, the sonoma red. That brownish metallic doesnt look bad either. I have a cherry red 95 Saleen so I sort of dont want another red one though it's hard after seeing your vehicle with those 22's. I actually decided on those same wheels also. I know I have to go with 22's because of the wheel base of the wheel and how much space it has. You need a larger than 20 inch wheel to fill in the gap. I also want to look at aftermarket wheels and one that will have a little depth to it, not much, just enough to bring it out to the fenderwell, evenly. I must admit though that it wont be a big deal if i settle with the ones like yours because i love them . I first saw those wheels in person on a black 14 silverado and it looked awesome. I had to turn around and go talk to the guy. I work for the government and also a 20 year vet so I will be building the vehicle through USAA and then taking that paperwork to the dealership, whomever is going to give me the best deal :) I also want a tonneau and a sunroof, I dont have to have Nav as that is more money. I did look at a truck that had that same tonneau as you have and it looked pretty good online. I must see it in person though as I might like the one thats a little more fuller all around, thicker but that meets the bed evenly like yours and doesnt drape over. I wish they offered the peanut butter color leather , or even the cocoa cashmere from years past. What color is your interior and are the floor mats you are getting nice and thick? Cheaper than dealer? I think that's all I have for now but if I think of more questions I will certainly give you a shout. Oh and actually today I googled 2014 gmc sierra denali with 22's and scrolled down and down and saw yours and clicked on it and brought me to this forum which i was a part of maybe a yr or two trying to get some insight on what i was thinking about doing with a 2012 sle or slt and turning it into a denali truck.

Also how many inches did you level/lower it? I will probably want to lower/level it all the way around as well

and did you notice a dramatic difference before and after the level/drop?

i also wish the wheel base trim were the color of the truck as was in years past

Hey man, I sent you a couple PMs.
