Believe it or not....Plasti-Dip!

Matte White + Pearlizer + Glossifier = VERY close to White Diamond Tri-Coat.

I will be painting the trim pieces in automotive paint tri-coat in spring time, I just couldn't deal with the eye-sore of the bumper steps (ordered the truck without them but GM built the truck with them - apparently color-matched non-step bumpers are no longer available?)

Have you used them since you plasti dipped them? If so, hows the durability? I would think that it would not be very durable.

From what I've heard is that they are no longer putting the non-step bumpers on the High Country and All Terrain models. That bumper will be Denali specific from what I've read.

Yup,

Pretty durable so far! Just make sure you do enough coats (recommend 8-12 coats + 2 rattle can clear coats)

I will probable end up removing, sanding and painting them in WDT along with many other pieces come spring time.

That's cool. I did my bow ties twice and the removal was pretty easy, that's why I asked.

Coming along nice! How was the power step install? I have my power steps from my '11, which amp said would fit (which extended wiring). Just been putting it off.

The Amp Powersteps from my 07 NBS Extended cab, installed perfectly into my 2014 Double cab with no modifications. Just use the directions on the Amp site for the 2014 installation. I did have to wire in the back doors as the extended cab did not have 4 true doors like the Double Cab. I love these steps!!!

I've been looking hard at the Amp power step for my CC Silverado. It's apparent the AMP must regulate their pricing, I haven't found a deal yet below MSRP. If anyone knows of one, I'm receptive to any ideas.

looks amazing! If they had that option from the factory, I might have gone for a third silverado, rather than "straying" over to GMC :)

Did you use plasti-dip on the grille as well? If so, any tips how to get the best results? Did you spray out of a gun? I want to do my GMC, but wonder about the durability because I wash my truck once a week.

First set of power steps I've installed and it wasn't too bad. The most time consuming part was removing door and trim panels carefully and re-installing them. I could do the install in half the time now.

GMT900 AMP steps will work on these trucks?? I was told there's no way.

Yes all plasti-dip as of right now. I didn't use a gun on this truck; I removed the grill and inserts, applied light coats (15-20mins between), did 5 coats white, 4 coats pearlizer and Plasti-Kote automotive clear spray paint for the final 2 coats.

Always ensure minimum of 5 coats with plasti-dip so removal and peel-ability is as-advertised. The automotive clear gives plasti-dip a smooth to touch finish, makes cleaning easier and protects the dip. It is still removable (just a little more work).

Do your GMC!! I have many things dipped, did my whole truck, cars, wheels, etc. Touchless car washes, pressure washers, etc are all ok as long as you keep a safe distance from the edges of dipped parts.

I bought the Silverado based on the my plans to already colour match everything so I wasn't too concerned with the chrome face on it.
