most all-round power for 350

You are in for a lot of time and money doing it. It isn't easy to get an old small block there without doing a ton of work and adding displacement or forced induction

And have an undrivable heap that needs a 4000 stall, idles like a top fuel car and is useless in a pickup. Be a real gem to start in the cold with a carb. Honestly naturally aspirated on even a 6 liter this is getting up there. Yeah you can do it... no reason not really. All in what you want to live with i suppose. I build engines and not just talk about it online too.

I've been rebuilding an amc 290 with my uncle I know the work and time it takes now if only I had the money to afford gas in a big block would I be doing that but I like the durability of small block 350's and the many parts available that are also really available not where most have to be bought online

 

 

I also have no motor to work on yet so its going to depend on if I find a decently priced motor or not cause I can't see paying for a whole motor that's double what I paid for my truck when I can build one myself with what I want in it and still end up paying the same but not all up front

If you could do exactly what these guys did, you could get some ok power from a used 350. And for about $1200 or to adjust for economy, $1800-ish?

Rebuilding a 350 all together so please don't be insulting to me I know whats possible and what's not and 425 is possible

 

if a fully built 327 can do about that a 350 can do more

425 from a 350 is doable easy enough, you stated you didn't have $4100 laying around so for you it is not possible. You are not going to make a stock 95 350 put out 425 at the wheels for a couple hundred bucks

Thanks for the super chevy link I might spend a bit more for the extra power I want but I'm going to have money in my tranny and my whole drive Tran to handle everything better so its going to take me a while to get what I'm aiming for but I'll have it finished before I graduate high school
