The grass is always greener?

Whoops you guys are talking about the wrong kind of grass. Anyway you will encounter problems with any item of any brand. Stack a nice sharp tv up to its lesser cost competitor vizio. Both will have issues down the road so doesn't matter. Ive had to work on a fair share of newer cars. Some as simple as a 5000 mile brake light change all they way to a cam actuator taking a shit at 55000 miles. The only place that grass is greener is the dealership. Also that grass its fertilized with lies and broken dreams

I went over to the "Dark side" for a little while but now I'm back. Back in September I traded my 2011 Silverado Crew for a 2013 F150 XLT SuperCrew 2X4 with the Ecoboost engine. I traded it for a 2014 Silverado LT last week. That Ford was the worst riding vehicle that I've ever owned and that includes a 64 F100 that I owned about 20 years ago. It had a vibration in it between 45-55 that ford obviously couldn't fix (4 trips to the dealer) and would beat you to death on any road that wasn't smooth as glass. It also had the the hardest seats that I've ever seen and the worst headlights too. On the good side the Ecoboost motor was pretty impressive and fords 6sp Auto is miles ahead of GM's. Anyway the new Silverado rides like a Cadillac and will be perect once I get used to throttle. Take it from me except for the drivetrain the Ford is miles behind the Silverado in every category.

As much as I complain about my truck & the issues I've had (one major 4wd module issue, MPG annoyances, craptastic tires) I'd still never get in a Ford or Dodge...love this GMC too much and too many good GM's in the past.

Reading some of the posts here before I bought, I was scared to make a purchase of my Silverado. Eventually did and the truck it great, none of the issues that seem to be common complaints around here, except for the lights around the radio knobs (which I don't think I would have fixed even if I could). I don't think I'm in the minority here with a good truck, but reading all this it makes it seem like that's the case.
