My First Dent! Anyone else?

In the first month of owning my truck I ran over a little landscape fence that put a huge dent in my back passenger side rocker panel. The body shops quoted me 7k to fix it LOL i'll just hold off on that for now. Now to present time, just the other day my dumb @ss was backing up in downtown San Francisco and bumped a parking meter, that damn thing put a nice little scratch and dent in the tailgate. Now its a true work truck now, 15 thousand miles in 4 months

I looked for a couple aftermarket covers but nothing as of yet.. scratches + Dents are expected but sucks when you do it yourself lol. As for why it was unloaded was we were out in the woods on our ATVs and I had the weapon on my side, and it had gotten wet. I was drying it off and forgot I left it on my lap. I have a cw permit and always carry one in the chamber everywhere I go pretty religiously.

So I was getting out of my truck the other day and forgot my pistol was on my lap (not loaded) clip was in the console ... So I jumped out of the truck and all I heard was CLUNK! My S&W 40 bounced off the rocker panel just outside the inner plastic trim into the grass... The rocker panel seems incredibly thin IMO.. The good news is, atleast you can't see it from the outside, but I know its there and I look at it every time I get in the truck... lol D'oh! Any other first dent stories?

F*ck your dent........no dent on my sh*t, thats why I park 19 miles from anyone else............

Even with my 06, I've always parked way out to avoid door dings and my wife ended up backing into it in the driveway about 5 years ago lol

I have two dings in the paint in the right front fender from the friggin landscapers at my work pelting it with grass (and apparently 2 rocks) 3 weeks after I got it and I got a dent in the left front fender from one of the valet's opening a door into it about a week after the landscaper worked their magic on the truck...

Not even an hour after purchasing my truck, I am driving down the HWY on my way back home, suddenly I hear like a gun shot outside the vehicle. Upon arriving at my destination, I checked the vehicle for damage and noticed a chip on the windshield. Safelite was able to repair it.

I left my tailgate down hooked up to my trailer and messed up the plastic trim up top and put a slight crease that is barely noticeable. I was pissed, but with a new trim piece it will be hidden.

WWII produced some great weapons. I love my M1 Garand. A lot of guys like World War I era 1911s. Over a hundred year old design.

I love my 1911's too. I am building two caspian high capacity commanders right now. Unfortunately i have 1300 a piece in these and they don't shoot yet.

Maybe as a public service you could let us know when you're driving out of the area!

agreed on leaving one in the chamber. if you aren't ready it's just one big expensive paper weight. if you ever need it (which I hope you never do) it is going to be at a time where you lease expect it and catch you off guard, do yourself a favor if you do carry your gun without the mag in it to start carrying with the mag in it.

Hell I forget when I got my first ding. Got hooked on mud riding for a few years and my paint shows it. ******* black paint

also why do you have a picture of a female as a sig pic?

Ummm it's supposed to be a pic of my truck idk. Can't view it on my phone but sounds to me like someone messed with it.
