2008 Silverado 1500 200Kms - What to replace?

Guys coming up on 200,000 kms so was at a cross roads to either maintain my '08 or pony up the dough and buy something new. I like not having a truck payment so I've decided to go the route of upgrading what's worn out. So far this is my list

Brakes - rotors, pads, shoes & drums

Upper/lower ball joints

Tie rods

Possible air bag suspension in rear

New Tires

What else should I be looking at especially in my front end?

Thanks

Quite frankly, the list can be as exhaustive as your wallets permit.

Your list is a good start but we don't know what you have done recently..

I would also like to point out that wheel bearings, ALL suspension bushings, mounts, and engine/transmission seals would be impressive.

Definitely keep us updated on the progress!

Personally I wouldn't touch the frt end unless it's loose or wearing the tires... Do fluids just regular maintenance save the $$$ for when something breaks jmo I've thrown so much money I. Trucks in the past doing "preventive" stuff than I care to admit... Most all of it was wasted.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I will say though if the front end is still tight get an alignmentSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think next week we are going to put it up on he hoist and go through and see what needs to be replaced, I want to make sure my front end is tight before I put new rubber on, will drop fluid in the diff's as well when I do the work, would like to get another 2 years out of the girl, then hopefully the 2015 Duromax's will start popping up used with low km's.

And yes I forgot to mention wheel bearings, when we have it up in the air I'll be checking all the seals and will replace any that are looking suspect.
