We realize the majority of you are new 2014 owners that have joined to learn more about their truck and work out flaws. We realize there will be plenty of questions and concerns along with news updates. We encourage you to please follow forum rules regarding posting. If you come here to ask a question or post a news update think and search first.

Has this question already been asked?

Has this story been posted?

Does this new thread I'm making fall into a different sub forum?

Please take the time to venture into the rest of the forum to get an idea of what else there is before you make your thread. We here at gm forum have absolutely no problem giving you the guidance you need to make your stay here worthwhile, but with the constant clutter of off topic threads building in here it makes it hard for others to find the info they need.

If it doesn't pertain to 2014 gm trucks please post it elsewhere that you deem it fits. This specific subforum is for the 2014 platform, if you want to discuss the f150 or what you did this past weekend then please take it to the lounge.

If you have any questions regarding this please pm me and we can discuss it.

Thank you for your cooperation and have fun! :)

Perhaps you could pin a few topics across the top for the four most posted topics,Floor mats, mud guards, running boards and mods. This way we would not have to weed through endless new threads every time a new member thinks of an original topic. Cute hat.

As a newbie to the forum, I thought the Moto post was extremely helpful. I get that it sounds like rules, but it's just asking for some consideration. I can admit, however, that I was a bit over-zealous on day 1 and didn't do enough searching. Hopefully it didn't cause too big of a stir. Thanks to the mods for keeping a really helpful forum going. I'm debating about a dozen mods to the truck and it's been extremely helpful.

Don't ya'll get me wrong - I think it's a great list he put together. I was just suggesting a more suitable title so it would get used more.

Good call on posting this Sarah. I don't get annoyed seeing the same question a few times, but seeing the same question posted multiple times a day gets old

...just sounds like rules, which nobody really reads anyway.

Some people are lazy/inconsiderate and just want a quick answer, instead of having to do their own research (aka 'Search').

Those same people will ignore any pertinent threads, no matter the title.

The only possible/partial fix I can envision: When you attempt to post a new topic, a giant message pops up asking "DID YOU TRY TO DO A SEARCH BEFORE CREATING THIS TOPIC???" and when you click Yes, it asks again "ARE YOU SURE??? DON'T BE A LAZY B!TCH" and only then it lets you create a new topic. That might work on 50% of the trolls. haha

Well if that's the only possible fix you can envision, I can understand why you're so frustrated. It's a sad outlook when you assume people are lazy and inconsiderate when they double-post. Sometimes the title of the post isn't clear enough and a person might not know what to search for. I'm not a lazy bitch and it sometimes happens to me.

And like I said, you did a good job on your list. You obviously put a lot of thought into it.

Easy moto..

The thread title could be changed to help others it's not really a big deal
