13330 – Cancellation of Service Update Bulletin - Active Fuel Manageme

Service Update Bulletin (SUB) 13330 will be cancelled effective January 25, 2014.

 

All vehicles involved in SUB 13330, which addressed incorrect calibration values in the Active Fuel Management (AFM) system, are also involved in Safety Recall 14008. When Safety Recall 14008 is performed on the vehicle, it will include the calibration for SUB 13330.

 

Any outstanding transactions for labour operation number 9100190 from SUB 13330 will need to be H-routed to the Warranty Support Centre for authorization.

that is what is sounds like. Only makes sense to roll everything into one software update when the update is required...

Not surprising, when accessing GM TIS (GM Techincal Information System used for reprogramming) the updates are laid out in a tree like format. That is a newer update will replace the old calibration. and they kind of lay them out showing the hierarchy, the older calibrations are generally not selectable. So the new calibration to correct the overheated exhaust will replace the older calibration.

So if we had these done separately, we should be good?? Or is there an update to an update?? Or are they just combining updates with no change?

They're combining updates to save customer inconvenience.

This is just my guess but its probably like software on a lot of things. If you install the latest version it covers any updates that came beforehand.
