The only thing is that will it integrate with the mylink to be able to access the Chevrolet App Shop? I am under the impression, based on the description that it allows you to use your wifi devices (ipad, tablet, laptop, etc..) via the hotspot to get internet. Correct me if I am wrong

I think you are correct. The wifi module will allow your vehicle to become a wifi hotspot. You will probably need to set up a data plan with Verizon so that it can access the internet. I do not think it will connect your MyLink to the internet, but I haven't read any information on what the wifi module capabilities are.
