from what that link says you need the new one with onstar 4g lte... just like earlier stated the 14 and some of the 15's systems that are not 4g equipt will not have apps.... awesome

So I'm guessing that none of the trucks out now will have it... This would be a cool option to have. Mine gets even less apps because I'm in Canada. We always get the shaft up here. This is how it goes though... Buy one thing, they come out with something better shortly after. Useless to try keeping up with technology

Can this be a adder for the 2014 models?

Only time will tell, once they are available then we can look at the connections etc. to see if they are the same. But something tells me that GM will restrict these parts like the previous OnStar VCIM's so people can't buy them and upgrade their older vehicles with Bluetooth and in our situation 4G.

Wll that "ficked" up. That's pretty crappy on GM's part....

Let's hope GM doesn't make the same mistake Apple did. GM would probably rather sell more vehicles than just more vehicles with Nav.

Can't you already add LTE to the 2014? Thought I seen that part option on the accessory site awhile back.

Seeing as how most people have phones that they can put apps on, I doubt GM will be putting a lot of effort into making this availabe for our trucks. The ROI wouldn't be very high for them. I could be wrong, but just my 2 cents.

GM floods Texas with new trucks everytime. Not sure if it is the smoking hot economy or so close to mexico.

It's because Texas is a HUGE market for pu trucks.

There are more pu's sold in Texas than all of Canada.

Found the wifi part on eBay, it will fit our trucks I confirmed with seller.

The only thing is that will it integrate with the mylink to be able to access the Chevrolet App Shop? I am under the impression, based on the description that it allows you to use your wifi devices (ipad, tablet, laptop, etc..) via the hotspot to get internet. Correct me if I am wrong :dunno:
