Hi everyone, Rick here. Live about 1 ½ hrs north east of Toronto Ontario, FYI, the novelty of this winter has officially wore off! Just sayin’. I’ve had my 14 Sierra SLT double cab in Silverstone for a month now. The relationship was a little rocky a first, but now that we have learned that “she” is the boss, we are getting along better. I have owned GM’s off and on since 1977, Impala two door with the wrap around rear window, classic. To get the 14 I traded in my deceased dad’s 2001 extended cab. Its time had come $$. So needless to say I have been lurking around this web site for a while. Thanks for all the info!! It was nice to go shopping this time around, having been retired for almost two years now and since I’ve always commuted to work this was the first time, that, consider the miles I put on now, that fuel mileage and depreciation were not as big a factor. Twisted wrenches professionally for over 30 years, non-automotive. And still enjoy working on all the toys myself. Not much left that I am willing to tackle thou. That electronic stuff; is just plain magic stuff. Don’t plan doing a lot to the truck, have installed the Extang tri fold hard top, BedRug, mud flaps and bug guard. When it gets somewhat warm out there, there be HID’s going in, my apologies to the anti-HID people, but I like them, people see me in the daytime and about three times a year I am fortunate to get up fishing and hunting about 150 miles from James Bay. Bright lights are nice. Oh, and my light specialist says that he has some really nice LED’s coming this spring for the fogs and brake lights. Then in done, I think, I hope. Great site, with lots of info. Thanks again.
