ryguy609 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Thanks Ry.....going tomorrow afternoon because the bank was a little slow with the closing of my loan. I'm all set for tomorrow! My truck is still sitting in Baltimore. It has only been there since the 8th (15 days and counting). UGH!
Wakesetter247lsv Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 My truck is still sitting in Baltimore. It has only been there since the 8th (15 days and counting). UGH! My truck (as of yesterday) is still sitting in the Tampico Altamira Port, Mexico, is been there since 3.25. When I chat with the GMC agents, they almost seem upset that I have nerve to ask them on a daily basis to where my $50k+ truck is. The agent told me to "check back in two-three weeks because there has been no change to update you inquired about yesterday". I certainly hope that a boat sailing from Eastern Mexico going to Baltimore is faster than two to three weeks. I have gone on cruises that go slow as ever from Cape Canaveral to Mexico to Central America and back in seven days. Are they putting these trucks on row boats? My factory ordered E Class Mercedes only took nine weeks from order at the dealership to delivery to the dealership. And that came from a different continent.

I feel like telling them where they can put my truck if it doesn't get here in the next week or so. Don't tell me that it is 6-8 weeks from order to delivery when I am on week 11. I don't care if they get pissed when I chat with them every day. I'm paying for the truck so if they don't like it they can give us the ability to track the GMC's online just like Chevy and Dodge have. I can track an item on Amazon or any other online company through the shipping progress but can't track a truck and see when/where it is along with an anticipated delivery date. That is bull$hit. Seems like the logistics end of the transport isn't to the level where it needs to be. I hope a GM rep reads this. My order code is RPZRKX. There. My rant is over and now I feel better.
IndyAJW Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 heh My truck was built 4/6 and my weekly update from Jennifer/Andraya (GM Reps here on the board) put my truck still in Mexico. It was the best information they had. However, my dealer emailed me yesterday and says the my truck is in Chicago (next stop Indianapolis). I find it odd there is such a large obvious gap in the info. I don't know who has the better info...I know who i would prefer out of the two above ;-) But I will just have to continue to wait for something to show up on the lot here.
ryguy609 Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 So after all my Bi*ching earlier about my truck still being in Baltimore.... My dealer called me and told me that my truck was in. It had arrived around 1:30pm today. So much for knowing where the product is. Anyway, I get the new truck tomorrow afternoon. So stoked! 2014 GMC Sierra Crew Cab SLT Z71 6.2
