Adding Interior Lighting? Fuse?

Installed my interior LED's yesterday, like the light and the look. I found it to be a real pain getting in a good position with that upper connector. Unplugged it and cut one tie strap which gave me just enough room. Being twisted up under the dash and working is not as easy as it used to be.

Does this match the interior LED lights or is it much brighter? Perhaps the camera doesn't do it justice....

Not so much brighter as the color has a purple hue to it. You can cut the led strip and reduce the amount of light if needed.

Ya, that sums it up better...it doesn't look like it has a slight hue. OK, thanks.

I LOVE that exterior lighting. Question: when they are off and in daylight, can you are the LED strip much or is it hidden ?

can't see them during the day, I put them on the perfect angle to not be visible during the day but to shine right on the step.

What lights did you use? I like the brightness yours have. Not too bright where it looks bad and bright enough to light the footwell up

I installed LED footwell lights today in my silverado, was a pain in the a** but i was able to locate the gray wire in the black box next to the brake and tap into it (this part was the only pain because I had trouble getting the t-tap and pliers up in there to close the tap on the wires). Didn't bother trying nitro's way, to much wire running for me but thanks for all the info everyone!

I'll get some up when it gets dark outside, still daylight up here in Alaska!

This is my favorite mod so far. I never really noticed just how nice it was to have footwell lighting in my 02 yukon until I got this truck and it didn't have footwell lighting already in it!

They will only pop on outside if you turn all dome lights on at the same time. If you use one single light at a time you should be fine.

Or is there a fuse for the puddle lights (if I had puddle lights) that I can tap into so the lights I add as puddle lights would only come on when the door is open?

Not sure about fuse. But I do know that if you want to splice a wire, it is the grey wire with I believe a green stripe on it. I know for a fact that it is next to the wire for the dome lights which is a thicker solid grey wire.
