Adding Interior Lighting? Fuse?

Looking to add some LED lights to the leg/foot area of the cabin in the front. I dropped somethings and i turn on the lamp and its just not enough for me. I'm trying to stay away from tapping into wiring and would just like to go directly from the fuse box. I checked the owner manual and I couldn't find anything that resembled interior lights and such. Would you guys know? Maybe I missed something.

Under the dash by the brake pedal there is a black cover. You can follow the directions at the beginning the the thread below. Its the same color wire. I also did red LED that are hooked to dash lights that dime with the dash as well.

the panel that comes down from the roof to the dash on the driver side, take it off inside there's a bunch of cables zipped tied. Undo the zip tie and find the thicker solid grey wire. That's the one you need to tap into for the dome lights. I installed a light on each side of the truck and tomorrow I'm doing it for the steps.

IMO that is the hard way to do it. Under that black cap by the brake pedal those same two grey wires are switched just like the "A" pillar. Plus why drill a hole when there is grommet right there for the parking brake?

I didn't drill I installed led first in the interior and I just got done doing the step leds. Thanks for the tip about the grommet by the brake but there's another one almost on center on the drivers feet and I ran my cable through there. Took me about 30 minutes to the do the lights on step, I had already Wired them together. The only thing I needed to do was mount them and connect the cable.

I want to add the floor LEDs like the guy in this 1st post.

However I don't want them wired on all the time like he has. My question has anyone figured the wire you need to tap so these light up when the door is opened or when the overhead console switch is turned on? I really don't want to run a wire from the switch through the headliner to add these. I'm hoping there is one down under the dash or maybe the wire loom in the door jam.

has to be a way to tie into the dome lights. I will be doing this to mine when I take delivery. I have a wire diagram showing it in a panel under the dash on the driver side but not sure if there is one closer or easier

s c h e m a t i c !!! i cant access the new ones yet ,,,,you need a schematic dude ,,,,,the BCM does lighting ,,,there is dimming circuits etc etc to know about ,,,you need you lighting RPO etc etc

you will pay maybe an hour labour to have a dealer connect a wire and leave it out for you
