sareljr Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 So if my stock 05 HD wheels have 5" of backspacing and I buy new 16" wheels with only 4" backspacing, will they stick and inch further out? Since they have an inch less backspacing? Or how does that work?
kstruckcountry Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Yeah they'll stick out further but how far depends on what width they are.
LTZ2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Once you find out the width of each rim then yes the less backspacing the more it will stick out. High + offset tuck in. High - offset stick. Offset is on the front side of the rim and backspace is obv on the backside.
sareljr Posted March 2, 2014 Author Posted March 2, 2014 The stock rims are 6.5 wide and the new ones are 8
Doaklife13 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 I have a 2007 Sierra classic z71 with stock 17" rims will 16" wheels with wheel spacers fit over the brake system
