22 Wheel Tire Sizes

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone. Looking to upgrade to the 22" oem wheels for my Silverado. I've done some searching and there is a lot of info on the 20's but not the 22's.

I wanted to know what the standard tire size is on the 22's. Also my truck has a 2" leveling kit so i maybe able to pull of a +1 tire size to fill in the wheel wells. Any info would be helpful. Thank you.

Nice. I really think I'm gonna get the 22's this spring. The tire diameter is 32.2" thats only 1" smaller then my current 275/70R18 (33.2"). Should look good with the level.

Anthony, I have the exact same OEM wheel and tire setup as Mike does. I also have the 2" level kit installed in the front, and I can honestly tell you it rides like a dream. My wife would even tell you it rides as good as her '11 E350 Mercedes. She just said that to me last week. My Denali rides as good as anythiing I have ever owned, and that's a lot of vehicles.

Anyone tried 285/55r22 tires with a level? I was looking at a set of Nitto terras hoping they would fit without rub.

There is a whole thread on that exact set up. Same size I am going with soon.

I can confirm they rub with only doing a quick lift. Half of what you read says they don't the other half says they do.

285/50 fits too or even a 33x12.50. thing is are you willing to do what it takes to make it work. (cutting or trimming, at worst case norcal mod). I'm getting ready to do this myself and can't quite decide. seen 33x12.50 in person and it looked great.

the 285/50 is actually a 33.5 by 11.70 so close to the 55 series just a little less diameter vs the  55 series at 34.3 by 11.70. I just decided that it looks so much better than the 285/45 I'm going mod as needed. going to do a 2~2.5 suspension in the front and 1.5 blocks in the rear.

Only problem is the 285/55 might have issues when the suspension cycles through its range.

I went with the 285/55/22 TerraGrapplers and love them. This is on a 2.5” RC level with the rear block. A bit of rubbing but after some trimming it’s no problem.
