Ordered Denali on 2/12, Still No Order Number?

I ordered a Sierra Denali on 2/12/14. I have still have not received an order number from the dealer. I ordered it as Sonoma Red Metallic, 6.2L, sunroof, trailer brake, driver alert package, and Z71 package. I read on the forum that the sunroof and trailer brake were under constraint and could delay an order. Is the delay related to the order delivery, or to receiving an order number? How long should it take to get an order number? Has anyone waited longer than this? Your feedback is appreciated.

If the dealer placed the order there is an order number. Go to GM website and call GM directly. If they can't find the order - the dealer should have it for sure.

I was told when I ordered my 6.2 with max tow sierra last week that it could be a while because of the introduction of the 2015 Escalade and other models. I am now concerned that it is going to be to long for me to wait.

For what it's worth...I placed an order with my truck on Monday 2/10. I received my order number from my salesperson at the dealership on Friday 2/14. You should follow up with your salesperson and/or their manager to figure out what is going on.

I agree.....I placed my order on 2/17 and had my order number by 2/21. I am still at Event Code 1100 and the dealer said that they don't see a Target Production Week as of yet.

I ordered the exact truck minus driver alert on New Year's Eve 2013. Still no TPW but it has started moving from event 1100 so maybe I'm close. I did however, get my order number a couple days after ordering so that is something that should be available to you from your dealer. I would say if they can't provide that number to you then they are not being transparent. Hey! Maybe they are waiting to build a bunch of Sonoma Red trucks at the same time. And yes, the entire Denali package (wheels especially) seems to be on constraint plus we ordered the 6.2, sunroof and trailer brake which all have reportedly been holding up orders.

Actually delays are probably because GM has large inventory of unsold trucks so they are probably scaling back production which means longer lead times. Its been reported in early Feb that GM has 234,342 unsold units. This represents 117 days of supply.

Ordered week of Thanksgiving delivered Feb 3rd. Never checked on status as I didn't want my old trade-in Silverado ti feel bad.
