Depends on what you want. Look at the new Z/28, it dumped the MRC to save weight and complications.

Some people will track their SS. Some people will drag race their SS. Those types might not care about MRC.

I will daily drive my SS, with an occasional autocross at GoodGuys All American Sunday events. MRC would be cool to have, as would the manual tranny, but I'm pretty happy with what I have. No, I'm really happy with what I have. This car is a freakin' blast. From acceleration to handling to the "what is it?" looks and questions that it garners. I have no qualms about buying when I did. I have also heard that the front end will have a more aggressive design so that may be a slight bummer, but it won't change how I feel about my car. My Callaway was awesome, but this car is in a different league.

So after seeing one in person at Lingenfelter today I kinda want one. I figure $100 more a month on the loan payment and another $600 yearly on insurance... If I stay out of trouble. And then I'd also need a beater for winter. Too much money.

I feel ya Mike. My payment went down 30 bucks a month, my insurance went up 29 bucks a month...And yeah, gotta find a winter beater. Craigslist camry, here I come!

We'll see how much I've managed to put away by next spring. Buying an SS is absolutely irresponsible and irrational but I'd love it.
