Car & Driver review of Sierra 6.2 4x4

Recommended Posts

Car driver just posted a review of a 2014 silverado crewcab with 6.2. "But when you have this much grunt under your right foot, it’s all too tempting to lay the hammer down, at which point the near-three-ton Silverado will bludgeon its way from 0 to 60 mph in a startling 5.4 seconds. That sprint was undoubtedly enhanced by the 3.42:1 rear end" Heres the chart Zero to 60 mph: 5.4 sec

Zero to 100 mph: 14.5 sec

Zero to 110 mph: 18.5 sec

Rolling start, 5-60 mph: 5.9 sec

Top gear, 30-50 mph: 3.1 sec

Top gear, 50-70 mph: 3.9 sec

Standing ¼-mile: 14.1 sec @ 99 mph

Top speed (governor limited): 110 mph

Braking, 70-0 mph: 181 ft. Im highly impressed

yup, that would do it.

They'd have to put it in manual-1st, then 5-60 should be a little better.

That would defeat the point of measuring a rolling start.

drove mine from 7 miles to 107 on the odometer today... i come from RS6, RS4, M3, many 911s, AMG, etc. This truck is very fast...but very quiet, sounds like a turbo. Great for cabin quiet, but if you want to hear it, will need to add exhaust...performance is awesome, although shifting is a bit clunky...so glad i got the 6.2, i almost didnt because who really needs it... wonderful...can break loose rear on command....
