gtstricky Posted March 28, 2014 Author Posted March 28, 2014 Where are you located and what are you looking for? Granite run in media has a decent selection of trucks, there's faulkner in west chester, they have a decent selection too.. GMC's though Armen is a decent dealer but Ardmore is a really wealthy area.. Like you said they definatley are tough on price I checked Thomas (granite run) no luck. I have not gone the GMC route yet. Probably time to start checking there too.... Looks like there might be one in New Jersey that matches. http://www.pellegrinochevrolet.com/f_WindowSticker?VIN=3GCUKREC1EG422607

I have been treated great there, they have always had a good selection (I know they are remodeling, that might be taking up space for inventory) but I think for my next purchase, assuming I stay GM, I might hit the road and get off the Main Line.
Spurshot Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I called gm customer service when I needed to find my last one. Found it 500 miles away and flew to get it.. in fact I bought my last two by flying. The one before that was one I ordered.

Hah yeah Ardmore is the heart of the main line. Del chevy is great, it's probably 15 minutes west down rt 30.

Found it 500 miles away and flew to get it.. in fact I bought my last two by flying. The one before that was one I ordered. Great idea. Never thought of that. So I just chatted with a rep that searched for me (so much easier than looking at websites). Closest Tungsten 198 miles, Ruby 328 miles, and Brownstone 364 miles.
Spurshot Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Ah heck, those are in your backyard. I expect you'll post on Monday with pics of the new truck.
mike94silverado Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Why did you wait until the end of the month to find the truck? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
gtstricky Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 Why did you wait until the end of the month to find the truck? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I didn't. Been working on it for 3 weeks. Everyone they find is gone before they can get it traded.
mcnwil Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Interesting to see a problem locating a crew cab truck the way you want it. In October I could not locate hardly any double cabs as every dealer has crews in every color and package it seemed. I was making preps to fly to St. Louis when I called GM and they located mine 3 hours away. More than one dealer told me that crew cabs is where the sales are and they stock what sells, one said 70% crew cab is what he moves. Best of luck in your search/purchase.
gtstricky Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 Thanks! I finally opened my search up to black and now I pick my truck up tomorrow.

gtstricky Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 Congrats.. What dealer? I went back to Diver in Delaware. I bought my 2011 from them and they offered the best trade in.
2doorpost Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I went back to Diver in Delaware. I bought my 2011 from them and they offered the best trade in. Happy for you. Congrats. Always found that I get a better buy from the guy thats been stuck with the vehicle in his inventory for months rather than the one thats "doing me a favor" by doing a locate.
Luster Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Congrats on the new truck! I've had very poor luck with the dealer "locating" a vehicle for me. For my new '14 Silverado, I did about 20 hours of internet searching to finally find the one that I wanted. It was about 3 hours away, so I called my guy to see if they could do a dealer trade and it worked out perfectly. I think most dealerships would be perfectly happy to sell you a truck that you wouldn't be happy with and that's why they don't put forth a great deal of effort to find you one.
