54,715 is the factory MSRP for a fully loaded 6.2, that probably holds true nationwide.

"Retractable sidestep" is this a factory option??

The rear steps for the bed might be an option but retractable running boards are not a factory option. I'm getting Amp Research steps installed on my LTZ this week.

Beautiful truck, why not 373 rear ?

I was told the 373 was only available with the heavy duty towing package, I don't tow much so I figured it would ride better without that.

That is why your truck did not get a deep discount. You are in the land of overpriced & inflated goods in a very unfriendly business state environment. Did CA pass the law that stops citizens from buying new cars out of state to protect their dealer profits? I know the bill was on the list a while back.

Well, ok, I'm not sure what discounts I will be eligible for. I do appreciate your advance warning on pricing.

Yeah that's what I was figuring.. I don't know if they passed that law or not but a couple months ago I was looking at buying a prerunner from Arizona.. The truck was basically a race truck and thus no way even close it was legal for CA, but I wanted to be able to drive it on the street should I need to run into town, or if towing the tow rig breaks it's nice to be able to pull off the trailer and run back for parts.. Been there done that.. Anyway, I started reading up on DMV laws.. First of all AZ is great. They would even let me register the truck in AZ from CA without even stepping foot in the state.. CA however, was rediculous.. I remember reading something about buying new cars from other states.. I believe even if you pay taxes for it in another state you have 30 days or something to register it in CA and I believe you have to pay the CA taxes on the vehicle too, even though you bought in another state.. That should be illegal.

you don't pay tax twice but you would have to pay the difference between ca tax and the selling state tax if it's lowerSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And you would also have to prove it passes carbSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

3.42 is just fine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

truck runs 14s in the quarter with the 3.42 what more do you need.

Since it's a factory order, I'm trying to optimize it for my particular taste and use. From what I gather, the 3.42 over the 3.08 provides slightly better hole shot and slightly worse MPG, perfect, so far.......I am thinking that the heavy duty towing package with the 3.73 would again provide slightly better low end acceleration than the 3.42 - my concern is that the heavy duty towing package will have a stiffer ride.
