So maybe it's a little redneck, but who says you can't have all of the latest toys in a 21 year old truck!

I don't see anything redneck it's all integrated nicely. And yes who says you can't have a 93 with the latest stuff... Some times I wish I had gotten a 90s crew cab and done it with the latest aftermarket electronics over buying my 2010....Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's a Garmin Street Pilot 2720. Bought it on ebay for about $100, they're discontinued now, but who cares. To mount it, I took a dremel to the OEM Cassette tape rack (does anyone remember what those were?) and cut away some of the plastic, and then fabbed a bracket out of aluminum. Believe it or not, there is no external antenna on this install, the plastic of the dash lets the signal through, no problem!

Very awesome man. I might just snag that idea for my own truck. It's just too awesome.

did you hard wire the garmin?

You bet. I cut up the cigarette lighter plug that came with the Garmin and wired it to a switched 12V source. The red button below the unit turns the power on and off (the Garmin's power switch is on the side, so I just turned it to ON). It is also touch screen, so all of the functions are easy to get at. Not bad for $100!
