Color matched bumpers

Sitting at dealer as we speak and they are trying to tell me GMC does not offer color matched bumpers on my truck. 2014 1500 AT. I took my truck in because the Chrome front bumper is rusting. Body mgr says we can change it but it'll do it again. That's just how it is. I say that's ridiculous and just give me color matched bumper and I'll pay to get the back matching bumper. He then tries to tell me GMC does not offer color matched bumpers, the parts guy told him. Now I'm waiting for him to walk the lot and see trucks with color matched bumpers. This should be fun!!!!

So he comes back and says I'm right, they do offer color matched bumpers. No!!!! Really????? Could've saved him the walk, anyways now he's saying they have to do some investigating because they don't think the color matched bumpers will fit my truck. Brackets may be different. Really??? I'm 95% positive it's the same brackets. I will be opening a case with GM customer care. My dealer is completely clueless.

The brackets are different...they have to be reinforced because of the extra weight of the paint.

My dealer says they don't make color matched door handles. They think we're all stupid.

Your dealer is right, the color matched bumpers have extra reinforcements for the flux-capacitor that is located in the bumper.

 

I think it is time you go find yourself another dealer... GL

If you want a colour matched grill (at least the trim ring around the outside) they are offered thru GM accessories.

 

(I realize this doesn't solve your bumper issue)

My grill is already color matched. I have the AT package.

Hmm, chrome bumpers on older vehicles used to last 10 years or more without rusting. Now the interval has been shortened to 2 months?
