This thing likes to be pretty close to flat on the eq.. I bump up my highs just a little because im an old stereo junky and my ears arent what they used to be "little hearin damage" lol

Having owned all the different versions of the Chevy Silverado going back to 1987, I think their is a difference in the factory radios. On the 2014 you have a lot more to play with to tailor the sound. I could not image this set-up on my last two series of trucks. (2009 & 2003). Instead I had some serious equipment in both. I would love to just have some pre-amp outputs for highs, mids & lows and then add my own amps with this front-end. It can be done, but price, return to stock ability and just plain getting older..... I don't need it as much any more. I actually still have a lot of the equipment and speakers and may try updating the speakers. I have a set of ZR series JL Audio speakers and a set of German made MB Quart QSD216 speakers. We'll see in the future.

Well, good thing is, most web places discount it. Of course, they just came out with them "officially" so it may take a bit. I am even more fortunate as I can get it for a WHOLE lot cheaper from Kicker due to working for a company that sells their products.

Chevrolet has had them official as an option for about 8 months now. Kicker is finally promoting them you mean?

Yep, pretty much. Kicker did not sell them till they showed them at CES. GM I guess had a lock on it for a bit. It was just put on Kicker's site last week.

I bought mine direct from Kicker April 2014 and was consulted by kicker on installing the 4ch amplifier with adjustable pedals.

Hmm, idk then, maybe I am mistaken. I swore I looked for it on their website last month and they were not there. I know for a fact they were not in the accommodation system until last week.
