earlier in the thread, I believe somebody has used the Kicker Soundgate along with the factory subwoofer. Somebody correct me if I am wrong, you could use the same signal the factory subwoofer amp receives and split it to the amp of the Kicker.

So is there no way us Denali owners can use this?

Yea I'm pretty sure you can use this with the factory sub. You just don't hook the door speakers to an amp (the full sound gate kit comes with an amp for the doors too. Right? Or am I going crazy?)

I would've given this a try if I had known that it would work. But instead I got something else before I learned. Oh well still happy

it works with with BOSE equipped trucks as I have it in mine. There are two different versions offered. One with a 400w amp for base system model trucks ($900 approx.) and one for Bose equipped trucks (200w $550 approx). The only thing i know is that it is not compatible with the 6.2 which are equipped with noise canceling. Maybe someone can give it a try and post results.

So, I bit the bullet and purchased the Kicker Powerstage Soundgate "kit" from www.shopgmcparts.com They had the lowest price that I was able to find and don't believe any of the BS from AutoAnything about pricematching... They don't do it. They try and use smoke and mirrors, but they fail.

Anyway, the install was easy. My strong suite is not reading directions, but the directions provided were actually clear and helpful. With the helpful information provided within this thread I was ready for the hard part of fishing the power wires through the firewall. That was the most difficult part. However, thanks to the other posters, I thought it went as simple as can be.

The install took about 2.5 hours, simply because it was cold out and I was in no hurry. Oh and somebody routed the cable to the sub woofer backwards. Remember, read the directions...

How does it sound? Frickin amazing. Far better than I expected. My own media is simply awesome, but what impressed me is what it did to XM. I wasn't sure how much it could help the compressed audio from outerspace, but it improves that 110% as well.

The best part about this way of doing things is everything is plug and play and you keep the factory look of the dash...

So once everything is amped, did it effect the chimes? I am wondering if I could get this kit but use the signal from the DSP/ processor to feed my JLAudio amp

It seems chimes and turn signal sounds are more refined, so I say yes, it does.

Here are some pics of my install, I have Bose so this is just the SubStage kit (200w amp and sub only) and not the SoundStage...

Hello people. I just purchased a used Soundgate for my '15 HD & someone cut the power feed off at the fuse. Can anyone tell me what size that fuse is as I'm going to have to add one! Thanks in advance!...Bob

Have this system installed in my 2014. Probably the best upgrade on my truck outside the lift. Have always swapped out the factory head unit in every other vehicle i have owned but I am now very happy with this setup.,

As my luck would have it, my 2015 Silverado LTZ w/Bose has a different colored pair of twisted wires than shown on others wire taps. I do have the blue & brown w/blue stripe, but they are not the twisted pair in the kick panel wire plume running up to the door. Mine are black w/red stripe & orange w/green stripe. Kicker recommends that I open the big, main harness & tap into the wires there. Anyone else have suggestions or the same issue I have with the twisted pair being different? Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks...Bob

Does anybody know if there is a difference between the GM version and the version directly from Kicker?

Thanks.

I have NEVER seen the sub that cheap, $527 on ShopChevyParts.com., plus shipping.

one is much, much more expensive than the other.

but seriously, same thing, gm uses both the kicker p/n and their own internal you can use to compare

Can anyone tell me if the chimes get louder like they would if I just added an amp to the system ?

Not on the sub only kit, not sure about Soundstage kit w/DSP amp.
