Throttle lag solution (?)

That's expensive for such a thing. You can get a tune for that price, and not need it at all.

I had the same to say about my Sierra. But figured it would take a week or so to "learn" my driving habits. The throttle response has become more crisp and not annoying at all now. I would stand on it to merge onto the highway, and also take off more aggressively than normal, not spinning the tires or being reckless but maybe half throttle.

Just wanted to share what seemed to help for me .

This makes sense. Granny drive it when it's new and it'll act sluggish. Drive it like you stole it and the driveability parameters will be different when they are stored. I've seen this in sports cars, so why not trucks? Pull your ECM fuses for 30 mins or so, then drive it like you stole it.

Works for me.

Sorry, I don't buy it. Neither the box nor the ECM limiting performance because it isn't driven hard.

If you want to reduce that lag, it NEEDS to be driven hard when learning.

Of course, you're right, so I must be lying, and haven't done this on two different late model Chevys, one, a 2010 Camaro SS. Night and day difference. That car has a TOUCHY throttle. The truck is much better since I re-set it after the 1st 3,000 miles.

where can you find the ECM fuses?

My truck must have qraduated with a 4.0 from the assembly line, it knew how to haul ass form the first push of the throttle.

Under the hood in the fusebox on the driver's side.

For our resident naysayer....

What does it hurt? NOTHING. If it works, GREAT! If it doesn't, maybe gjernagan16 will send you a prize!

You may get a little lag feel reduced because the transmission is adjusting to driving style. This will not fix the actual issue which is in the programming, being a mixture of torque management along with some parameters in what I will call your throttle follower or driver demand settings. There are a few users on here now that have ventured out and broken into their own ECU with custom tuning software and can testify to this as well.

This sprint booster is suppose to boost the reported throttle signal coming from your pedal, this will help as well but it will not overcome the lack of actual power your truck is limited to making, due to GM's noose/torque management. Warranty vs. Trucks full capabilities and potential.... After weeks of battling the deamons in my head, well... they finally won and I tuned it
