Just bought 2014 GMC Sierra SLT Crew 4X4 5.8 box 3.73 gears with 6.2L and max trailer package. I absolutely love everything about this truck, lots of power and decent gas mileage as well (21.5mpg combined for first 850 miles and as high as 26.7mpg on highway (Imperial gallons)) and surprisingly smooth ride considering max trailer package.

I have not hooked on to 28' travel trailer yet as want to put on few more miles before I do that.

My only complaint is the truck just recently has decided to stall for no reason and coincidently only after I turn right at an intersection and it doesn't do it every time. My neighbor bought a 2014 GMC Sierra Crew All Terrain with 5.3L about 6 months ago and he had the exact same problem with his truck about 4 months ago. Dealer had determined that the cause for his truck was a faulty BCM and just replaced the BCM on mine today. My neighbor has not had any issues since BCM replaced so hopefully that fixes problem. Does not do much to instill confidence in my new GM truck and would actually be a serious safety issue if it happened in a heavy traffic situation.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Doesn't look like anyone else was having this problem but GM had officially advised Dealers to NOT add Dealership leather key tags to keys as they believe the key tag would occasionally jam in the steering wheel and physically turn off the key. Removed my leather key tag and, voila, no issues since, with 5000 miles on the truck now.

I had this problem once in my 2007 Colorado ran fine but stalled at every light and stop sign.

I had bad tank of gas. Bought some cheap stuff from the UPI gas stations we have around here.

Never went back there never had another issue.

Try running injector cleaner through it and I gave my Colorado a shot of octain booster for that tank than ran it half out put 93 octaine in.

Then ran that entire tank out of it.

Never had an issue again.

Just a suggestion if you bought gas somewhere else like I did.

Any warning lights show up? I had an issue with my spark plug wires not having any dielectric grease in the connectors causing misfires and engine stalls. But when that happened the whole dash lit up with warning lights.

Dealer installed new wires and coil packs and packed them with grease. Never had an issue since. That was about 7000 miles ago.

So are you saying that removing the leather key fob solved your problem?

Maybe too early to tell, but approx. 1500 miles since removing key tag and no issues so far. I actually work at a GM Dealership and we recently had a customer with 2014 GMC with same issue only would shut off almost daily. She had a leather key tag and a lot of other stuff on her key ring. Asked her to remove almost everything from her key ring about 3 weeks ago and no issues for her since either.

BTW, GM didn't actually say that was their reason for asking the Dealers to not use leather key tags but it seems to have resolved the issue so far.

It has happened to me at least 8 times since I bought my 2014 Silverado in Oct 2014. Talked to dealer and they never heard of my problem before. Funny how there are at least 5 of us that do. Taking it to the dealer tomorrow. Also had Radio turn on by itself and the screen went black. Had the AC blowing cold air when the AC mode was off. Anybody else have problems with AC and Radio?

I had my AC control unit just go out and not come back on until I cut it off and restarted it when my '15 was almost brand new and mine has stalled in the middle of driving it a few times. I have 10k miles on it now.

I created a post with the same problem. I have a 2014 Silverado LTZ and it will sometimes lock up and stall on a certain turn. Bringing it in Wednesday or Thursday and will post the answer on my topic, steering wheel lock up. One person replied with the same problem on his 2014 Sierra and had "the problem" fixed only to have it stall again on a u turn. The first time around he said they said the battery was loose or something.

I have a 2014 GMC Sierra I have aftermarket recon headlights, it stalls every now and then and when it does I get anti theft warnings , roll down driver window and roll it back up , dealership said it was the headlights so I reworded the LED to the battery with a relay since they said that would fix it and it still stalls !!! Any ideas ?

Personally, I would be checking all the grounds as my start to troubleshooting these types of problems before letting them charge you for a BCM.
