08 Silverado 1500- Lights flicker, ABS, Traction Control & Service

My truck has been acting peculiar...sometimes when I step on the brakes or accelerator the lights will flicker..then lately the weather has turned hot here in

Texas and the service light for the ABS, traction control and four wheel drive will light come on then disappear then come back on but they will reset when I turn the ignition off and back on. it seems like a short or a loose ground somewhere..Has anyone else had this issue?

definitely electrical... I'm not sure about where, but it seems like you might have a bad wheel speed sensor.

I've read where that could the a problem, what is throwing me off is when the light flickers when applying the brakes or accelerator pedal. It almost seems like a loose ground wire. thanks for the feedback.

Have you checked for codes? Possible loose connection, failing sensor, failing alternator...could be several things. I'd start with getting it scanned.

the problem is that it's intermittent and it will quit before I can check the codes but I will if I can get to autozone or oreillys in time

It doesn't matter if it quits. Codes can be stored. There may and probably are codes stored for the ABS that cannot be read by some readers that the local AutoZ and O' use

 

 

You should check battery condition (load test). Battery cables for condition. Connections for clean and tight. Check body grounds as well.

I'll do try that, thanks for the advice
