Switch panel light

I saw an ad in Mens Journal for the Sierra and noticed that it had the red lighting under the silver radio bezel "illuminating" the switch panel. You sierra guys have that? I wonder if its sierra only, trim specific, or if its another thing GM advertises but doesnt give you like the AC knobs.

I'm pretty sure that mine also doesn't. But now I'm second guessing myself and I'll have to verify it tonight.

Probably just another embellished ad copy? It is in the 2014 Sierra Brochure, and the Spring 2014 "GMC The Magazine" featuring the New 2015 GMC Sierra HD/Denali HD. Even the Denali HD poster inside shows the red light illuminating the toggles.

I know my Sierra SLE with the 40/20/40 doesn't have it above the toggles, and I don't remember seeing it on any of the consoles either. Maybe the SLT's or Denali???

If it is trim specific, then it has to be on a denali. My SLT is fully loaded from the factory. Only thing that keeps it from being a denali is the fact that mine doesn't have any denali badging. I have looked into the illumination above the switches and the only thing I have been told by dealers is "we will check Into it".

I have considered getting a thin strip of LEDs and putting a taillight smoke spray or tint over the lights so they are not overbearingly bright.

That might be cool. Post pics if you do. I only have a lowly LT with 2 swithces so its not worth it for mine!

Then I'd light 'er up!!! It does look nice with thr light

I'm currently out of town. Heading back home by either 2 or 3 days from now. I'll go check out some of the light options at pepboys or autozone when I get home. Thinking an Alpena nanoLEDz strip would work well. Thin in width and low profile.
